Partitions

A partition wall is a divider wall, usually non-load bearing, used to divide the rooms or areas on a particular floor. 

Commonly used materials for partition walls are gypsum partition wall, brick partition wall, concrete partition wall and glass partition wall.

• Partition the whole area into smaller rooms
• Partition walls can be easily constructed

The cost of a partition wall depends on its size, thickness and material used. Generally, it can cost between S$5 to S$13 per square foot.

Partitions and false ceiling are commonly erected as part of interior design decor. False ceiling is normally contructed with gypsum board which is non-combustible, heat-resistant and relatively much easier and cheaper to construct then other materials. False ceilings provide space for electrical wires, pipes, air-conditioning ducts and to hold light holder.
